Dear Students and Parents,
I am pleased that you are here with us at The Georgetown School. Students come to us for many different reasons. Whether you are here to focus on improving your grades, to get away from the distractions of your old school, or because of a poor choice that resulted in a suspension, we are here to help you get a fresh start and work toward your goals. The Georgetown staff is committed to helping you reach your goals, but it is on YOU to make sure that happens. With your commitment and effort, you CAN do this. We believe in you!
At Georgetown, we have three expectations. We want our students to be Respectful, Responsible, and Perseverant. Our school motto of “Strength, Courage, and Wisdom” aligns perfectly with our expectations. These expectations permeate everything we do. They are listed and defined in our matrix and reinforced daily with our positive encouragement and our Paw Print program. We recognize students with a paw print for following the expectations on the matrix and give rewards for accumulating paw prints in a variety of ways. So make good decisions, focus on your school work, and try your best. If you do those three things, good progress will happen.
Again, we are happy to have you here at Georgetown. Remember that this is a privilege. Make sure you take advantage of that privilege through your hard work and positive choices. I am looking forward to working with you and your family to make this experience a positive and productive one. Welcome to the Georgetown family!
Sincerely,
Brian J. Ford
Principal
